Our Tutors Are...
Carefully Selected. Highly Qualified. Deeply Committed.
At Cornerstone Virtual Tutors, we are intentional about who we invite to work with your child. First and foremost, our educators are devoted followers of Jesus Christ, seeking to honor Him in the way they teach, encourage, and interact with each student.
Our teachers are experts in their fields, combining subject knowledge with formal college training in teaching and hands-on classroom experience. Each educator also completes a thorough screening process, including interviews, reference checks, and background screenings.
Beyond qualifications, we select premium teachers who communicate clearly, build meaningful relationships, and adapt instruction to meet each student's unique needs.
Meet Ms. Heather, Founder
of Cornerstone Virtual Tutors
Ms. Heather brings nearly 20 years of experience in education, teaching in public school classrooms, private tutoring, and online. She holds a dual degree in elementary and special education, along with a reading specialist endorsement. Over the years, she has helped students from elementary school through college reach their academic goals. With more than 1,700 hours of virtual instruction, Ms. Heather meets each learner where they are, combining expertise, patience, and high expectations to help students thrive.
Her faith guides both her teaching and her life. After recommitting her life to the Lord in 2023, Ms. Heather has witnessed His unfailing faithfulness time and time again. Over the past few years, He has guided her to grow in many beautiful ways, and she keeps Him at the center of her life, trusting Him to take care of the rest. When He gave her the vision for Cornerstone Virtual Tutors, Ms. Heather took a step of faith, confident that He would guide her through the journey. She is grateful for the opportunity to use the gifts He has generously given her to serve His Kingdom and looks forward to seeing how He will move through this season.
As a wife and mother of two, Ms. Heather understands the kind of teaching she would want for her own children and brings that same standard to every tutoring session. Outside of teaching, she enjoys swimming, finding shark teeth at the beach, worship songs, Starbucks, her pets, and cherishing moments with her family.

Ms. Heather's Favorite Bible Verse
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1: 2-5 (NIV)
